Solar Charge Controller

A PWM / MPPT solar charge controller helps in charging a battery using solar energy collected by Solar panels. There are two types – MPPT Solar charge controller & PWM solar charge controller. MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar charge controller generates approximately 10% – 25% more power as compared to PWM charge controller. Systellar solar charge controllers have been designed for rugged conditions and offer user friendly features at affordable prices. We manufacture the widest range of solar charge controllers in India. All products have been designed and developed in our R&D lab in India. Systellar charge controllers can also be used to convert existing normal inverters into Solar inverter.

MPPT Solar charge controller

We are manufacturing one of the most advance MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller available in India. The product follows active P&O algorithm to deliver maximum solar power for battery charging. Using LCD display and function buttons, user can set various product parameter including battery charging voltages, charging current limits, DC load timing, hybrid function operation, etc. Product features include:

MPPT High Voltage Solar charge controller

High voltage MPPT charge controllers offer wide input voltage range from Solar panel array and help in harnessing 15% to 25% more power as compared to PWM charge controllers. HLS series PWM solar charge controller is a low cost & reliable product for use as home lighting system or solar street light charge controller. The product is for use with single 12V battery and can give charging current upto 8A. PWM Solar charge controller (PPL Series)

PPL series PWM solar charge controller is a zero drop microprocessor based device with DC load terminals. It is a low cost solar charge controller for battery charging using solar power and for running DC loads such as DC fans, DC LED light, etc. The DC load can supply 20A of load current at battery voltage. If battery voltage is gets too low, then the DC load is shut down to protect battery from deep discharging. Once battery voltage becomes sufficient to run DC load, the load is switched on automatically. There is also a jumper setting on the product to run DC load only from dusk to dawn. This feature makes PWM-PPL series suitable for use in solar street light applications where high battery charging current is required.

MPPT Charge Controller Generation 5 - LV and HV models

MPPT Charge controller Generation 5 (CC-MPPT-Gen5) is the latest MPPT Charge controller from Systellar Innovations which can charge a battery bank with up to 100A current.  CC-MPPT-Gen5 can be used to charge large battery banks of any chemistry on solar power at isolated sites. It can also be used to charge EV batteries in a truly carbon generation free manner.

CC-MPPT-Gen5 is field programmable for any of the following battery chemistry:

Battery bank configuration is flexible. It can consist of a number of batteries each consisting of a specified number of Cells e.g. 48V nominal battery bank consisting of 4 batteries, each battery consisting of six 2-V Lead-Acid cells. Alternatively, it can consist of a number of cells e.g. 41 Ni-Cd cells constituting a battery bank of 49.2V nominal. The default charging thresholds like ‘End of Charge’ voltage; ‘Trickle Charge’ Voltage may be modified by the user either on the Battery Bank level, battery level (in case the unit of battery is defined) or on cell level.

CC-MPPT-Gen5 has a 64×128 dot graphical LCD display for comprehensive display of the charging voltage, current and power levels. There are three LED indicators to indicate PV input, charging state and fault. It has a 5 key keyboard (INCR, DECR, NEXT, SEL and ESC) and a beeper for easy editing of parameters and other functions.

CC-MPPT-Gen5 has an RS485 MODBUS RTU interface which can be used to monitor the charge controller performance using an IoT monitor. It has an external temperature sensor for the battery bank and an internal temperature sensor for the heat sink. A general purpose relay drive output (12V DC) is available which can be used to drive a Power Saver Relay, Load-On relay or a Night Switch. Another relay drive FAULT_NOT is available for activating an external alarm in case of a system fault.
